The vacuum filter machine is mainly used in the process of starch dehydration. Compared with other traditional dehydration methods, the vacuum filter machine has better dehydration effect in the dehydration process of sweet potato and potato starch, featuring high dehydration efficiency, stable dehydration effect and high automation level.
I. Working Principle of vacuum filter Machine
The vacuum filter machine creates a negative pressure environment by vacuuming, which accelerates the separation of water from the starch slurry under lower pressure. Its core components include a vacuum pump, dehydration chamber, and filtration device, etc. During operation, the slurry enters the chamber, and under the negative pressure, water passes through the filter screen and is discharged, while the starch particles remain and form a filter cake. Finally, the dehydration process is completed through the discharge mechanism.
High dehydration efficiency, suitable for large-scale production of starch
The traditional dehydration methods (such as plate-and-frame filtration and centrifugal dehydration) rely on mechanical pressure, while vacuum dehydration drives the migration of water through a negative pressure difference, which can shorten the dehydration time. After dehydration, the water content is around 40%, enabling seamless connection with the starch extraction production line, reducing manual intervention and being suitable for large-scale industrial production. In contrast, the intermittent plate-and-frame filter press requires frequent disassembly and assembly of the filter cloth, resulting in long downtime and low efficiency.
2. Starch is stabilized during dehydration, reducing starch loss.
The internal pressure field of the vacuum suction filter is evenly distributed, and the filter cloth is subjected to consistent force, avoiding the problem of uneven squeezing of starch particles caused by the high-speed rotation in centrifugal dehydration. The vacuum suction filter uses corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel mesh surface, and the dehydration machine is designed with a water pipe spray system. When the machine is stopped, the vacuum pump can be turned off first, allowing the drum to continue rotating. Then, the spray water valve can be opened to clean the obtained starch slurry at the bottom of the collection tank. Open the bottom overflow port to recover the starch slurry.
3. High degree of automation, easy to operate
Modern vacuum filter machines are usually equipped with intelligent control systems, which can automatically adjust parameters such as vacuum degree, dehydration time, and feeding speed, reducing the need for manual intervention and making them suitable for large-scale production. For instance, they support PLC program control, enabling the entire process from "feeding - dehydration - discharging" to be automated, thereby reducing labor intensity.
