Types and Characteristics of Sweet Potato Starch Processing Equipment
July 21, 2026
Sweet potato starch equipment falls into two categories by production capacity: small household units and large-scale production lines. Small equipment generally handles 1 to 10 tons of fresh sweet potatoes per day, suitable for rural cooperatives and small processing plants. Large-scale production lines boast a daily processing capacity of dozens to hundreds of tons, with more complete configurations and higher automation levels.
Drying is a key segment that reflects distinct performance gaps among equipment. Traditional sun-drying is heavily affected by weather and hard to meet sanitation standards. By contrast, spray drying towers or flash dryers enable continuous and large-scale production with stable product quality. Vacuum drying equipment can better retain the physical properties of starch, making it ideal for scenarios with strict quality requirements.
